*House Hockey 8U - 14U*

The Tri-City Eagles house hockey program is planning to field 4 co-ed teams from the 8U through the 14U age levels for the 2019-20 season. The Tri-City Eagles house hockey program program provides players the opportunity to learn and develop skills in a team setting, assuring equal participation opportunities for all skill levels. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to register. No tryouts required. All teams play in the Capital Corridor Hockey League (CCHL).

Players with birth years from 2005 and younger are eligible for one of the house teams.

Season practices begin in mid-September and league play at the end of October. The 8U team begins playing intramural games in December and based upon skill level may be invited to Jamborees against other teams during the season. The season is over in early March once the CCHL end-of-season tournament is complete.

All Tri-City teams play their home games on Saturday or Sunday at The Gardens Ice House. All other travel is based upon where the competitors in each division are located.

Team practices will begin mid-September and continue through early March. All teams will practice at The Gardens Ice House. Two weeks per month teams will practice two days per week and two weeks per month teams will practice one day per week. Days and times will be communicated as soon as they are known.

The game schedule is created and distributed in early October. Most games are on Saturdays, occasionally games are on Sundays. For the 10U teams and older, league games begin in late October. Our 8U's will begin playing intramural games in December. 8U's who are ready to compete against outside clubs will be invited to participate in Jamborees (The coaches will select those who are ready). The club will participate in several of these events, and host one in February. 8U's may also play several games on our beautiful outdoor rink, Whiteys Pond. Every house team participates in the end-of-season CCHL Cup Tournament at no additional cost to the player. House teams may decide to participate in additional tournaments during the course of their season. This requires approval from the coach and hockey director and parent consensus. Tournament costs are passed back to each player equally via a team fee invoice in December or January of the season.

Tri-City house teams have a uniform consisting of a jersey and socks. Tri-City warm-ups are optional for each player. Jersey numbers are randomly assigned. Tri-City does not believe in player names being placed on jerseys. This is a club tradition built upon the game being a team effort.
