It was a crisp morning when the Tri-City Eagles 16U Gold team welcomed the Baltimore Banners to The Gardens Ice House on Sunday, March 21st. The Banners, managed by The Tender Bridge, are a program focused on providing at-risk Baltimore youth an introduction to the sport of ice hockey.
Unfortunately, with the Mimi Di Pietro Skating Center in Patterson Park not opening this year, the Banners were left without a home rink. Which is why Tri-City was so excited to work with the Banners in putting this event together. A game was played that day that was without losers. In a world where we can often lose sight of what’s most important, this day was a fantastic reminder of the spectacular and unifying qualities of ice hockey. Both teams left winners.
The Tri-City Eagles would like to thank the Baltimore Banners coaches and players for a great game and for the generosity and fellowship afterwards. We’re looking forward to developing this relationship moving into the future.
